They’ve done some pretty amazing projects, including this one of the Carriage House that was transformed into a lovely tiny house loft. This is such a great idea for owners of older small homes or those who have a garage or shed on their property that they would like to transform. Once it’s all finished, they can then rent it out to make extra income or use it as a guest house.
From the exterior, you’d never know that this home was older, it looks brand new. The home consists of a garage with an apartment attached to it, which is what a carriage house is. The home got brand new cedar siding which looks stunning mixed with some light grey metal siding. They then paired those two finishes with some black accents on the windows and doors to bring everything together and make it look very modern. Two large French doors with glass inserts open up to the inside of the home offering a grand entrance and also opening the home up to the outside. Right inside the home is the kitchen and a stair ladder leading up to the loft space. In the kitchen, they’ve included a dishwasher, a stove, a fridge and a microwave for all of the amenities needed to make good meals. There are also lots of cabinets in the kitchen for storage and a nice large sink.
Beyond the kitchen is the bathroom which has nice vanity and sink. Unfortunately, there aren’t any photos of the rest of the bathroom, but there is presumably a toilet and a shower, maybe even a bathtub. Up the step, ladder is the loft bedroom which has a fireplace that looks like it was part of the original home. The bedroom has high ceilings and nice big windows to let natural light in. Plus, there’s a door that leads out to a rooftop patio which is on top of the garage. How cool is that? So in the nicer weather, this area could be used as a great outdoor living space. Add a BBQ and some outdoor lounge furniture with a dining set and some patio lights, and you have yourself the perfect set up for warm summer nights. A carriage house like this one would be great for a rental or a guest house, even to rent out on Airbnb for the weekends.
