The Oak Lodge is a newly-built mini log cabin building located at Chilworth Woodland Retreat. The mini-cabin building is situated near the New Forest and has on-site fishing and golf, with plenty to see and do, or you can stay at in at the mini-cabin and relax by the fire or in the hot tub. The Oak Lodge mini-cabin building is equipped with everything you’ll need for a comfortable vacation stay and your first tub of logs and kindling are free. The Oak Lodge includes a comfy double bed, a wood-fired hot tub with lights and bubbles, bedding and towels, a log burner, a fridge, twin gas hob, microwave, shower, toilet, electric sockets, and USB charging points and a fully equipped kitchen. The Oak Lodge mini-cabin building has all of the household essentials to include washing up liquid, salt, and pepper, cooking oil, muesli, and a pint of milk.
The mini-cabin building has outdoor seating and loungers, a barbecue, chiminea, and the first bag of logs and kindling are free. The site where the Oak Lodge cabin building is located is shared with 2 shepherds huts and a larger log cabin building. Guests to the Oak Lodge vacation rental are welcome to wander the site and the surrounding areas. Fishing is also available on the lake. You’ll want to note that access to the vacation rental site is via a 1-mile-long farm-style track across a golf course.
During your vacation stay, there is plenty to see and do in the area you might get active with a walk, a bicycle ride, or a round of golf at the neighboring Chilworth Golf Centre. You can also visit one of the many local attractions, from the City of Winchester, or the historic town of Romsey, to a visit to Paultons Park and its famed Peppa Pig World or the New Forest and its ponies. There is no public transport available to the site. The nearest train stations are Romsey and Southampton Airport. There is a bus stop that is approximately a 20-minute walk away which will take you to Romsey or Southampton.
